Explosion at U.S. Embassy in Turkey Kills 2
Two killed in explosion at the U.S. embassy
There are Turkish media reports that the explosion must have taken place close to the U.S. Embassy in the Turkish capital.
- Explosion at the entrance
The Associated Press reported early that two people have been killed in the blast Friday, according to Turkish television should be about two security guards. News agency AFP writes that they killed a security guard as well as the person behind the bombing.
Danish Politiken citing the Turkish newspaper Hürriyet writes that the explosion occurred at a port building with guards at the entrance to the embassy. Photos from the site shows that the port building damaged in the explosion.
Reuters reports that the smoke rising from one of the entrances to the embassy, and that damaged parts of the building should have been blown away and ended up out in the street.
Dogan news agency reported that ambulances and fire trucks are on site, the area is home to several embassies, the news channel NTV.
A witness tells Reuters that they should have seen an injured person being lifted into an ambulance. The police have closed off the area.
Security guards killed
According to the newspaper Milliyet's explosion caused by a suicide bomber, however, rejected this newspaper Telegraph reporter on site that gets notified that the bomb was placed in the street.
AP writes that the bomb should have gone off at the main entrance where security also point to the embassy is located.
According to the private news channel NTV, two security guards have been killed in the explosion.

Who is directing the new Star Wars movies?
That question has cinema set up after Disney put billions on the table and bought the rights to George Lucas' life's work last year.
Late Thursday evening, citing several U.S. websites sources that it's JJ Abrams that got the job.
Deadline.com reports that his source agreement with Abrams is ready. TheWrap.com , who was first with the preliminary unconfirmed rumor, writes that producer Kathleen Kennedy has long had her eye on the man who has breathed new life into Star Trek - franchise with a film in 2009, and a sequel coming later this year.
TheHollywoodReporter.com tells sources that Abrams is in talks, but that he and Disney should be close to a deal.
Several reports that Ben Affleck was among those who were high on the list of possible candidates.
Abrams is behind several of the largest science fiction and action blockbusters in Hollywood in recent years. In addition to the Star Trek films have worked with Mission Impossible III and Super 8 - While his production company has created series Fringe , Alias and Lost .
He has spoken of the first Star Wars movie from 1977 inspired him as a child to become a filmmaker. He also included a small cameorolle the robot R2-D2 in his first Star Trek movie.
Previously, Abrams himself denied that he plans to take the helm of one of the new Star Wars movies.
In December, he said in an interview with Empire magazine that talks had taken place, but that they led nowhere. Among other things because of possible conflicts between the two major science fiction film series.
- Conversations about the job took place, but because of my loyalty to Star Trek and Star Wars fan, I gave notice that I did not want to be involved in the project, JJ said.
But now that appears to be untrue as he is certainly to be the next S.W. director according to inside sources.
